Biodynamics
More than other methods, biodynamics applies closed cycle farming (most agricultural products, such as seeds, animal fodder, etc. must be grown on the farm premises) as a way to promote biodiversity.
IFOAM Organic
The AIAB standard is accredited by IFOAM, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements. It guarantees the conformity of production processes, severely restricts the use of flavourings or additives and regulates the use of packaging materials. For productions from the southern hemisphere, it is also attentive to ethical and social issues
EEC Organic 20/92
EEC certification principally guarantees the organic production of agricultural ingredients and restricts the use of flavourings and additives. It prohibits the use of GMOs and their derivatives.
AIAB Guarantee
The undersigned company
- pledges to promote organic agriculture as a rural model of development that can influence ethics in decision-making and consumer behaviour; to adhere to the principles laid down by AIAB (Italian Association for Organic Agriculture) and to share its founding objectives, strategic goals and principles of regulating production and breeding.
- pledges to seek on an ongoing basis technical solutions to improve application of the organic agriculture method used in its farm and over the territory. To this end, it will participate in activities to further training and the spread of information organized by AIAB, at the federal and local level, dealing with technical-agronomic issues and promotion and education.
- pledges during its course to adopt the requirements set down by AIAB in its agricultural, zootechnical and processing activities, and in the immediate term, to observe the following technical-agronomic and ethical-social principles.
